Frequently asked questions for Vakantiepark Giethoorn

Below you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions from our guests. If your question is not listed here, please contact us by telephone or write us an email. We will answer your question as soon as possible.

You are welcome to enter the accommodation from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you arrive earlier, you can sign up and use a free cup of coffee or tea at 15:00 at the restaurant.

You will find a coffeemachine (filter) in every home at Vakantiepark Giethoorn.

It is possible to book several houses next to each other. You can indicate this in the online booking process, or inquire with one of our employees. We do, however, charge preference costs for this.

No. Bed linen is part of the mandatory costs. You are required to pay € 8.25 per person in bed linen. Unfortunately no exceptions are made.

A pet is allowed in some accommodations. You must specify your pet when making a booking (maximum 1 pets per home).

You are required to pay a deposit. This is €65,- for the holiday home (type Kraaiennest €115,-) and €35,- for the electric sloop. If you leave the house chalet and / or sloop clean and without any damage, you will receive the deposit refunded to your account within 14 day.s 

 

In general, you can book a weekend (Friday to Monday), midweek (Monday to Friday) and week (Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday). Adjusted data possible in consultation. Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. You must check out before 10:00.

The rent includes the rent of the accommodation, reservation costs and final cleaning. You also have to pay: bed linen, tourist tax and deposit. When you book through the online booking module, this is automatically processed. For more information you can contact an employee.

There are no cots available in the houses. You can reserve this with us for € 2 per day. You can also reserve a high chair, playpen, bath and stair gate.

Towels are not included in the price. You can book a towel package for € 5 per package (good for one person). A package contains one small and one large towel. 

Yes, it is possible to book a certain property. You can choose a home at a special location (at the lake) or a specific home number. You pay preferential costs, so that we reserve the property for you.

On the indicated departure day you must check out before 10 a.m. No exceptions are made here.

When you go fishing at the holiday park, you can do this without a fishing license. When you go fishing outside the holiday park, you need to buy a fishing license. For more information, visit the website.

If you indicate in advance that you will arrive later, we will put the key ready for you. We can coordinate with you how this works. You can contact us by phone or email. 

Free WiFi is available in your holiday home. You will find the WiFi code on the parking ticket that you receive when you check in. You can use WiFi with multiple devices. We do not recommend using WiFi for heavy programs.

Upon arrival you will receive a departure envelope. You must complete the envelope. You must also put the key in the envelope. You can then leave the envelope in the letterbox at the reception. If there is no damage or defects to the property, your deposit will be refunded within 14 days.

When you can go to our holiday park with your own transport you cannot park at the holiday park, but at restaurant 't Vonder':

The restaurant is about a 400-meter walk from the holiday park. You receive one parking ticket, which allows you to park for free unlimited during your stay. If you have several cars, you can park for € 4 per day. The groupaccommodation (Het Kraaiennest) will receive 2 parkingtickets.

Yes, if your visit stays overnight, you must report this. The guests then pay bed linen and tourist tax.

If you have not received the full deposit back, your property is not left in the correct condition. Consider the activities listed on the departure envelope. It is also possible that a defect has been detected.

For stays from 1st of April till 1st of November October, a sloop/boat is included free of charge with your stay. This applies to all homes, except for the "Snipe (Watersnip)" type. Outside of this period you can rent a boat at various companies in Giethoorn.

We do not recommend visiting the holiday park if you have difficulty walking. Giethoorn is known for the (sometimes steep) bridges and parts of the village can only be reached on foot. To get to the holiday park you have to walk over a bridge. The centre of Giethoorn is car-free, you have to walk 400 meters from the parkinglot to your holiday home. If you are unsure whether the holiday park is suitable, please contact one of our employees.

When you book in the period from 1st of April till 1st of November, a sloop is included in your stay. You can use the sloop when you have received the keys to the house. The sloop is included with all homes, except for Snipe (Watersnip) type.

If you charge the boat all night, you can sail the boat for about 5 hours.

When you park in the parking lot at restaurant 't Vonder (Adress: Binnenpad 14), you can use the luggage trolleys. You can also choose to collect your luggage with the sloop. A sloop
is included with your stay in the period from 1st of April till 1st of November.
